Wonderful Day

Today was a great day spent relaxing with my husband, mom and dad. It all began waking up at 6am in the morning to go to my parents' house and load up the big box truck with my old bed and armoire. I finally sold it and now my old room at my parents is ALL cleared out! :o) Only a month over the deadline.
Then Forrest and I met up with mom, dad, grandpa and Kiki at good ol' Starbucks (Sorry Jorden...we don't have Caribou Coffee). It was so nice sitting in the warm sun, chatting away. God is GOOD!
When we got home...I actually got some scrapbooking done. I finished our honeymoon scrapbook and now I'm moving on to our Brazil pics. :o) Lastly, we walked over to Citrus City Grill with the padres and had a delicious meal (and lots of leftovers). When we got back to our apartment, we had dessert: cookies and candy that look like dog food. We tried eating it without our hands...a lil' difficult but we did it!
It was a wonderful, blessed day!

Official!

So after a many long days behind my computer, typing away at my TPA's (the papers required in order to get your teaching credential), I finished them and turned them in February 13th. It was so nice to have the two 30 page papers done with. I didn't hear if I had passed them for over 5 weeks. After hearing back that I had passed both TPA's and my credential application was approved by the state, I now have my multiple subject bilingual teaching credential! :o) Wow! I thought this day would never come.

It feels so weird to be official. Now my days are filled with searching for available teaching job positions. There aren't too many out there. I'm constantly on EdJoin (where job positions are posted) and I'm looking at a couple positions at biligual schools. Unfortunately, the jobs are nowhere near Orange. There's bilingual schools hiring in El Cajon, Long Beach, and L.A. Wish me luck!
